IHG GREEN ENGAGE™

Environmental protection and sustainbility have long been core values at the Crowne Plaza Berlin City Centre. As part of the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), we collaborate with all IHG hotels to continuously improve our sustainable practices for both the environment and social well-being. Using the IHG Green Engage™ system—IHG’s global sustainability program—we actively monitor and measure our hotel’s environmental footprint, from energy consumption to waste management. We are deeply committed to this initiative so that we may reduce our impact on the planet, ensuring that future generations can thrive in a cleaner, more sustainable world.

Our hotel has over 200 measures and solutions at its disposal for even better environmental protection. For example, we are reducing our electricity and water consumption and producing less waste. Of course, our measures are also monitored. We only receive the IHG® Green Engage certification after an analysis and the successful implementation of all measures. The sustainability monitoring system comprises four possible certification levels.
